Additional Community Outreach Programs

Cancer Support

The 100 Black Men of Maryland sponsors a program that provides breakfast for cancer patients in Baltimore. It is another way the organization connects with those in the community that require some form of assistance. The community outreach initiative is aligned with one of the key pillars that the “100” actively promotes, which is Health & Wellness.

Lens Crafters, “Gift of Sight Program”

The 100 Black Men of Maryland coordinates with select elementary schools in Baltimore and Lens Crafter to identify eligible students to have free eye examinations. The community outreach initiative is aligned with one of the key pillars that the “100” actively promotes, which is Health & Wellness.

Reading Literacy Program

100 Black Men of Maryland members read to the students of surrounding elementary schools. We believe that when men make time available to read to the children they are emphasizing the importance of reading and giving back to the community, which speaks volumes.

Park Donation and Rebuild

100 Black Men of Maryland members donate time and resources annually to build and beautify parks in and around Baltimore City
